How to Apply　

    The deadlines for the DPhil and MSc (R) courses are 18 November 2011, 20 January and 9 March。 Overseas applicants are strongly advised to apply by the January deadline in order to meet scholarship deadlines, and Home/EU applicants are advised to consult the Engineering Science website for information on EPSRC studentships. Other scholarships with specific closing dates may also be advertised at the same location.

     The standard set of materials you should send with any application to a research course comprises:

． A research proposal,

．CV/résumé,

．Three (3) academic references,

．Official transcripts detailing your university-     level qualifications and marks to date.

    The research proposal for applicants to the DPhil and MSc (R) in Engineering should be at least one A4 page in length. You should give a brief indication of your research interests, covering how your background and experience relate to the areas of your intended research and how this will affect your aims for the future, covering areas such as the background to the research, methodology, expected results & the contribution to the field of learning. Please also give the names of at least 3 supervisors, in order of preference, in the proposal.
